This is one of my favorite improvements in Photoshop CS2. It's now easy and intuitive to move or copy a layer mask from one layer to another. To move a mask, just click on the layer mask thumbnail on the right side of a layer and drag it to another layer. To copy a mask, Alt+click (Mac: Option+click) on the layer mask thumbnail and drag to another layer.
Too bad you can't move or copy a layer mask to multiple layers. Maybe next time Adobe?
1. This is a good improvement. However, you could also create a layer group containing the multiple layers that need to be masked, and apply the mask to the group.
