Yesterday we explored how to move back and
forth between Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Bridge.
Often you'll want to do more than flip back and forth between the programs. It's common to want to open an image from
Adobe Bridge into Photoshop CS2. There are several ways to do that.
If a file type is associated with Photoshop you can just double-click its thumbnail in Bridge and the image will open
in Photoshop, launching Photoshop if necessary. Alternatively, you can click once on an associated image thumbnail in
Bridge and press Contol+O (Win) or Command+O (Mac) to open that file in Photoshop CS2. PSD, TIFF, JPEG, GIF and other
file formats are associated with Photoshop CS2 by default. To change the file association of a format go to the Bridge
menu bar, and choose Edit>Preferences>File Associations (Win) or Bridge>Preferences>File Associations
(Mac).
Another alternative is to Right-click (Win) or Control-click (Mac) a thumbnail in Bridge and choose Open With>Adobe
Photoshop CS2 from the contextual menu that appears.
