If you love photographs as much as you love Photoshop, take a look at the online photo collections at photomuse.org. Photomuse is a collaboration of The George Eastman House and the International Center for Photography that aims to create the largest online database of masterwork photography. The site is still in development, with only 1600 photos currently on line, but it is expected to include around 200,000 photographs when it is finished in the Fall of 2006 and many more in the future. Photomuse will include iconic images from the history of photography by such greats as Alfred Stieglitz and Weegee, as well as collections by lesser known photographers like Roman Vishniac and Ralph Eugene Meatyard. My favorite features are the searchability of the database and the chronology of photography in the Education portion of Photomuse. [via The New York Times]
