Daring Fireball's John Gruber does it again with an insightful
analysis of the road Adobe as a company seems to be traveling down. Gruber points out that their CEO Bruce Chizen
has a background in marketing - not design, graphics or technology - and it's starting to show. Bringing to light
examples ranging from wretched type in recent PR statements and PDF's to the likelihood that Adobe acquired Macromedia
simply to become a larger company, Gruber drives a strong argument for the possibility that Adobe is gearing up to
become the next innovation-stagnant Microsoft.
Big words I know, but trust me: it's an intriguing read that should at least get the gears grinding. I highly
recommend you check it out.

1. It's a possibility but I think it's unlikely. The whole CS thing may look like it was just marketing but it had a bit of sense to it. Now you know what application is the latest no more "Hmm... Photoshop is 8.0 and Indesign is 2.0 ... indesign must be older" and they were also hitting the version 10 number and then it becomes difficult to manage again because of confusion
