is a plugin for any number of graphics applications to help create those oh-so-sweet depth of field and
bokeh effects. The DOF Generator plugin comes in two flavors, who's
names I personally find a little confusing: v1.5 and v2.0. One isn't more compatible with other/older versions of
anything, the two versions are simply used to separate out feature sets, of which there is an extensive list. They're
both powerful plugins, but the 2.0 version is geared a little more towards animators as it supports full batch
capabilities, amongst other things.
A fully-functioning demo is available, and they have a couple interactive demos
online of images you can click on to instantly
re-focus the depth of field, just to get your hands on what's possible. Version 1.5 sells for $29.99, while 2.0 will
run you $59.99. For more in-depth information, check out their extensive
product site an an
interview that
PhotoshopSupport.com's Jennifer Apple had with one of the plugin's creators, Martin Vicanek.
