Adobe has announced that it expects its acquistion of Macromedia to close this Saturday. It's taken seven months to get this far. The deal was first announced back in April. Stockholders gave their approval in August, and regulatory approval came through this fall. Now that Adobe has jumped through those hoops, the heavy lifting can begin. As Adobe sits down to develop its combined product line, it's time to make your views known. What do you want Adobe to keep, eliminate, or rework as it combines Macromedia's riches with its own?

1. What I would REALLY like to see, is better support for web design in Photoshop. For isntace I wanna be able to actually make a somewhat fully working web design right in Photoshop, as in pick the text which is gonna be just plain text, make the text boxes, mark where I want the design to be liquid, and ect... Just the current process of first making the design in Photoshop, then exporting it for web in ImageReady, then actually making it work in GoLive... Just WAY too long for me, I'm a rather professional web designer, and I get on avarage 2-3 web design orders per week, and the current process usually takes me atleast 2-4 days to go through, and I have to reject lots of offers and requests because of that, So, yeah,,, hopefully Photoshop CS3, or whatever its gonna be called, will atleast implement some better support for web...
