Designtimes is a small design publication I just caught wind of in a recent
iStockphoto newsletter. From their site:"Designtimes is a niche design driven newspaper. Each month we feature profiles on local or international designers, photographers, animators, illustrators, multimedia companies, interviews with professionals and young local artists or designers."
While the magazine hails from South Africa and gives some face time to local designers (which I personally find an interesting opportunity), it isn't at the expensive of covering the international design conversation. The print version has a limited run of 2000 copies at a cost of $17 USD, while PDF copies are also available from iStockphoto at a cost of 2-3 credits per issue, which can work out to around $1 or less, depending on if you buy credits in bulk.
I haven't picked up an issue yet, but if any of you TUPW readers have already checked out Designtimes, please share your thoughts.
